Configuration TeamThomson Reuters Professional (TRP) is a leading provider of integrated information solutions to legal, tax, accounting, intellectual property, compliance, business and government professionals around the world. TRP has business operations in 24 countries. The technology organization within TRP is a centralized unit providing shared software and services to TRP business units across the globe. Professional Information, Infrastructure, and Research Services (PIIRS) is an exciting and dynamic organization that provides systems support, enhancements, and consultation for the selection and implementation of TRP and Thomson Reuters business systems. It supports TRP business systems that support business operations such as ordering, subscriptions, pricing, billing, finance, publishing, manufacturing, and distribution.

 

PRIMARY OBJECTIVESAssist with tool enhancements, configuration and administration. Tools include both in house developed and purchased applications that have modified or integrated with other tools.

 

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITYImplement small to mid-size projects; includes: Determine project requirements, establishing timelines, working across teams, overcoming obstacles, communicating status and delivering the final product (70%) Perform application administrative functions to maintain tools (10%) Consult with customers to define usage requirements and recommend potential solutions or workarounds (10%) Manage and track small projects and solutions that will need to be delivered on a short tight timeline (10%)Salary: $18 / hourKnowledge and Skills Skills in current programming or workflow technologies (ASP, Java script, C++, C#, SQL, etc.) Ability to work on multiple platforms (Windows 2000/2003 server, databases, etc.) Ability to work in a fast paced challenging team environment Ability to set and communicate deadlines Organized and creative critical thinking and problem solving skills Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to adapt to changing priorities Written and verbal communications with a strong customer service focus Ability to determine project budgets, schedules, and resource requirements Ability to effectively recognize, research and analyze new technologiesExperience Software Development Working experience in the following platforms: Windows Server 2000/2003 and SQL Project tracking and reporting SharePoint experience is a plusHow to ApplyApplications accepted until position is filled.
