NEW SECURE360 WEB SITE COMING

The new Secure 360°™ Web site (www.secure360.org) will be launched by November 3, along with the new e-newsletter, Secure360: Full Circle: Keeping you in the loop year-round.

The Center is one of four partners in the Upper Midwest Security Alliance (UMSA), which is the organizer of the conference.

The annual conference provides high quality educational sessions and networking opportunities while it works to identify developing trends in risk management, physical security, governance, audit, information security, contingency planning and human capital. As the host of Secure360°, UMSA provides expert speakers, informative educational sessions and a wide range of exhibits for the collective membership.

IT WORKFORCE SUMMIT

On June 12, 2008 the Center for Strategic IT & Security hosted the opening of its “Collaboration to Create A Robust Workforce,” the IT Workforce Summit. Representatives from business, education, government, and workforce agencies met to discuss how to change the predicted shortfall of well-trained IT personnel.

The numerous ideas generated at the Summit are posted online for ranking, and top-rated ideas will be made into projects or programs that will enhance your future as an IT worker.
