For High School Students
As a high school student, you can get real-world IT work experience
through the summer job program for Minneapolis youth ages 14-21 called Step Up. The 2010 STEP-UP application is available with an application deadline of January 29, 2010.
Although aimed at a younger female audience, check out Girls are IT to learn about the history of computing and the amazing variety of creative IT careers women have today.
Visit your high school’s Career Resource Center to talk with a career counselor about your interests and how they might fit into an IT career.
